A trip with a great crew to the opening of River Skjern.
The crew was: Rasmus Bjørn, Jens Larsen, Peter Skovhus, Rasmus Bak and I.
Mission: Hook up with a salmon on opening day.
After a good breakfast served by Rasmus Bak we headed for an early start at the river. What was expected was that we were not alone. A rather large flok of entusiasts was flocking the waters but no loud roars indicating contact with salmon was heard in the early twilight. The weather was piling up in the shape of rain, rain and rain. The water was getting more chocolate colored and choice of fly was getting more colorfull. Though the optimism was flowing the same way as the river our fascination of this spectacular water made us all dream of a return soon to come.
