Erling Skov and I had been looking forward to this trip for a long time. Looking forward in the sense that we haven’t planned anything but going fishing and that it had to be in Easter break.  With light eastern wind we decided to go to Fyn – just like so many others. We started out at Helnæs in pouring rain. We spend the time in the tent cooking a good dinner and planning the next day.

To float down River Gudenå in a pontoon boat is one of the most relaxing types of fishing you can imagine. – Until the big pike thrashes your fly and you are being torn out of your trance and realizes that the pontoon boat is not just a floating armchair, but a serious and effective fishingdevice.
